Working hard on the electrics but planning on making my bed very soon. I want a queen size I know a short will work with my plan. I see 6" and 10" thickness which is better remember on a tight budget. They seen to be foam gel.

Hey Chief,
I just realized that I may have the answer to the ground/neg. (DC) issue. I have a WFCO 8955, when you have the faceplate off on the left hand side at the 9 0'clock is the ground terminal bar, AC ground (bare copper or green), DC neg, (black) and chassis ground go here. At the 12 'ish is the neutral bar (AC white wires). DC hots (red) to the fuses, AC hots (black) to breakers. Right hand side at the top is neg. (black) from battery, and RH side bottom is positive (red) from battery.
I believe your model should be similar. You can use chassis as ground for DC, but as you know most common failures in DC are ground issues, so cant hurt to have redundant grounds, black wire from DC light or pump to chassis and then to ground bar in the power center.
I believe your model should be similar. Hope I got this info to you in time to help.
Good Luck!

Looking good there Chief. I didn't get anything done this weekend on mine, ended up having to do brakes on the rear of my truck. My water pump made it here and my PD4045 should be here by mid week so then I can get started. You've got it looking good.

Hey Chief,
I was able to find some info on your WFCO 8735, not much, but enough to see it is a completely different animal from the WF 8955. I see that it comes with an attached pigtail for DC circuits ? Are they labled or is there a diagram inside the door or faceplate? The installation instructions that I was able to find are very vague, no wiring diagram or schematic. I apologize for misleading you on this, so as to the original issue they must intend for you to use chassis ground or a separate terminal block for DC neg. Seems odd that you would have to splice wires to circuits outside the converter box or maybe I am missing something. :?

Anyways, I hope I didn't lead you astray on this.

McDave

P.S. I did find this diagram, hope it helps http://i1271.photobucket.com/albums/jj6 ... gement.jpg

Desperately needing help! I am trying to make my Murphy bed lower from the ceiling. I am using 90lbs garage door spring but they dont come down(expand) low enough cannot find longer springs. Is there an another method of rising and lowering the bed? :D :?

You could use 4 of these (gas struts) and have the bed lower onto a rail. I am designing a bed like this now for my toy hauler. I will try my hand at welding up a frame and building in rollers for the tracks. I have seen the same design only use 2 gas struts. I am assuming it has to do with the weight needed to be held up. Same principle however. Note there is only one track on each side in these pics. I have also seen them done with two. Before I set out to weld mine... I am going to take a trip over to a RV dealer and checkout some toy haulers, find some beds that use the gas struts.. then ask for a demo and take pictures. :)

4 Struts, build a frame that is guided by some track to rest on a ledge. Easy design.
