Will do. I consider that approach, something like MtnDon did. But I have already installed my false wall so as to provide for a galley. We will see how this approach works and shoild II want to modify it some more, I could always look at making the whole top galley section sort of like a internal shelf (cubby hole) with the ability to slide the AC out through barn door.

This approach would solve my desire not to consume anymore internal space for air conditioning.

I considered the concept of a hole in either the CT walls but did not want to cut any more holes in it right now.
In general, I agree with you that sliding the unit in and out might be a good approach, but I also do not want to lose the counter, etc space.

I will have to leave one barn door party open for air circulation as shown below.



The AC sits nicely in a previously prepared shelf area. The aluminum pan is a temporary condensation catch basin until I can figure out a drain system. The next three challenges will be to figure out if I need to add circulation fans in the opening for better cooling air flow, how to secure the door for security reasons and how to keep rain from coming in. It looks like you have a rain drip edge above your door. So do I. I purchased some aluminum channel from Home Depot and made an awning. It has a woodend dowl in the free end with square stock on the ends. It fits into pins mounted ont he trailer wall. It installs in minutes and works well. i hold it on with spring clips

I must understand your canopy better. It sort of fits right into something I was considering. But I want to cover both doors and allow them to swing open and shut under the canopy. There are some concepts others have done here and I need to find them again.

It was an ebay one and yes, it was everthing I thought it would be. I insisted on an egress window which narrowed my choices. I will try to find the link to the actual purchase and post it.

Thanks Bob, I have more photos to post of my LED upper lights, microwave and coffee maker cabinet and upper cabinet door. Maybe tomorrow.
I am painting my outside table that will connect to the side of the CT such as MtnDon did.

And I must stop after that for awhile as I have been told that my "honey do" project is getting behind.

PS....and moving my AC from the "hacked" mode to the false wall position was definitely the way to go. The CT is much cooler and quieter now.

Will send photos of finished paint job and mounting on CT tomorrow. And those AC numbers are close to what I saw today and that was with the door open for extended periods of time, closed, opened again and so forth as I worked on things. I am not sure if it is not performing at it's peak so I will watch for sales this fall and see if I can pick up a new one for "just in case".

Those numbers are pretty close to what I would expect to see in a standard install. Most ACs are designed to get a 18-22 degree differential from OD ambient to indoor. You might want to look at buying a inexpensive hygrometer to keep track of your humidity levels inside your CTC. It'll give you a idea of how much infiltration you have each time you open the door plus help you see how many gaps are in your walls.

Bob, here are photos of the side table I built.



This shows the rail system I used and got the idea for the side brace from MtnDon.
For the high back board I added, I had to cut it down significantly. It interfered with the insertion of the table rail to the trailer rail.


This shows it resting on the fender for the other side. For the other rail, I am adding another 35" table which is under construction now.
The stove is shown sitting on it now. But I am not sure I will use it that close to the side of the CT.

Those tables and mounts are a great idea! Should be very handy. This another thing I need to file away in case I get to build a CT conversion.

I love those tables. Add the awning and its a game changer. Those two items and a solar system are on the wish list for next season.
