It has been a long time since my 45 years of reseach, preplanning, organizing, scheduling and promoting any kind of meaningful event. I put that all aside when I dropped out of my construction supervision role, when I retired some 24 years ago, Brian. I have a hard enough time staying on top of my own simple responsibilities, and taking on a teardrop gathering, is way beyond my abililty, since I am only 16 years away from my 100th birthday. I am sure there is a very didicated, resonsible teardropper who is willing to take this bull by the horns and do all of the legwork, and put together some wonderful gatherings, right here in our sunny So Calif area. We have dozens of seashore, desert, and local mountain campgrounds available for any size get-together, large or small. I'll just have to sit back and see what happens in the future. No matter what, I'll be there with bells on, and so will so many countless other TDers.
Roly, remaining hopeful, with my freshly varnished all-wood 1/2 Nelson Woody, which is now 14 years old, and counting.
