I cut in the skink and drilled the hole for the faucet. I'll be removing them again to finish the counter top... but I figure no reason to finish the area I'll just be cutting out.

Not sure I like the faucet. I got it for 84% off... and it looked cool online... Since I have it, I'll give it a go. I can always replace it later. I wanted something a little taller due to the more shallow sinks... It is heavy duty.. for $40.00 I took a chance.

Back to front view (missing my mess in the very back of the trailer!) .. I got a lot done these last few days off. Getting close to spending some time building the faces for the AC Rack and the electrical closet up front, then I'll get to the cabinet doors and lastly trim and painting (everything needs to be painted inside given it is all just bare wood or primed). I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! :)

Hey Don,
You wouldn't happen to have an example of the relay for the back-up lights? Just tap into TV reverse light wiring and use that to trigger relay in trailer and house battery, correct?
Thanks,

McDave

Dave, that is correct. Just use the reverse light to control the relay for the house battery to the lights. You can also connect the output of the relay to the CTC switch output so you can control the light with or without the TV hooked up . It will not harm either if they are both active since they are both on the house battery.

I will draw something up tonight when I get home. I meant to previously, but forgot until just now reading this. It is rough getting old. :D

What is your parts source? I'm using the same LED ramp lights as you and Martin. If I remember correctly 18 wt each, so it only need to be 5-10 amp ? Should be able to find one at Napa etc.? Relay in parallel with house switch, OK?
Are you wired for TV to house battery charging? If so, tap into keyed circuit, then 30a fuse on hot to 7 pin, Then 7 pin to 30a to house battery? Or use relay here as well? So keyed circuit to trigger, hot from TV battery to relay, to 30afuse to 7 pin, 7 pin to house battery?
Oh yea, speaking of old age.... celebrated 22nd year of wedded bliss Thurs. Sept1, and the 27th anniversary of my 29th birthday on Wed. Sept. 7... Yep, 29 ain't what it used to be...Ya know?

Don, sorry to hijack the thread a tad ... McDave, when you wrote out all of the second para. above it hit my brain as some kind of foreign
language akin to Croatian or something they might speak in one of those countries that end in 'stan. Could ya do an older fart a favor and
draw me a friggin' picture??? There's a large group of us that, for some unknown reason, don't do electricity well, nor do it as easily as some.
Thanks for your kindness and patience.

McDave:

Following is the link to Amazon for what I bought. I like this because it came with a pre-wired socket ( I didn't need the fuse). Very easy to connect up. I hand drew a diagram for you as it was quicker since I do not have Visio or etc. at home. Note that on many 7 Pin RV Connectors.. sometimes the center pin is the reverse lights.. sometimes it is auxiliary.. you will have ot check that. In any case, this is how I have implemented the switch. The power is about 18W each if you have the same lights I have.... should be around 3 to 3.5Amps. You do not need a heavy gage wire at all.

I am not connected to the TV for charging my batteries... there is really no need with solar power charging all day long and I have the Honda EU2000i if needed. I have thought about it, however, if I start taking my old German Shepard with me. I can leave him in the trailer while on the road and then leave the AC on without draining down the batteries. The Alternator in my pickup is plenty heavy duty to stay ahead of that.

BTW... HAPPY Birthday and Congratulations on the Anniversary! Good for you!

Got a few little things done tonight after work.

I installed the Water Pump Switch and the Monitor Panel. This seemed like the best spot for it as the other side of this cabinet is all the solar charging system monitors. The single lighted switch off to the right is for the Hot Water. Did I ever mention how much I like my rotozip for these type of jobs! So easy to make a small cutout!

I am going to install the sensors on the Fresh water tanks which will be monitored here (may as well since I have the sensors already and pre-wired he walls). I am still not sure what I am going to do about the gray water and black water sensors. I mentioned the issues there a while back. But this panel has a Fresh Water and Galley monitor in addition to the Black and Gray. I am going to use the Freshwater for my main tank and the Galley for the Auxiliary 30 gal tank. They should always read the same if the water finds level through the plumbing connection as I am counting on.

I also installed the remote head for my radio. I need t conceal that black wire somehow (maybe I'll just paint it white with some white vinyl paint I have).. I do not like it..

m.colley to make it a little easyer. In the relay pic it shows a 5 pin relay. Pin 85 and 86 are for the pull in coil. Ground one wire, use the other from the switch.

Pin #30 is for power to the item
Pin#87A is hot when power is at pin 30 with the relay in the off position.
Pin #87 is on when the relay coil is turned on

flboy, Howdy;

About your Black tank monitor ... it will start giving you "false" readings as soon as anything
gets hung on a sensor. As 'yours is a line of sight (through the flush hole), you can just
eyeball the level (a flashlight will help), or use a "dip stick" to check the level. I have a set
of coat & hat hooks above mine to keep the inaccurate lights from being a distraction and
have learned to 'listen' for the sound of a full tank to know when to dump. You shouldn't
have any problems with weekend usage, just remember to top it off before emptying so you
get good suction on the flush.
