Foam edge corner protection what to use ?

I saw a post where someone had use some type of plastic (I think) bendable edge protector, for the exterior corners of their foamie. I think it was for drywall work, . It was white, with lots of small holes. If anyone knows what I'm talking about please let me know where to but some. It was applied to the foam/then covered with canvas.
Or if anyone else has use some other form of edge protector. Please give me some ideas of what to use.

Flexible (or arch or curvable) corner bead. Any big box or good building supply store has it.

Is putting on edge/corner protector something that most people do ?

If you radius the corners the canvas covering will make them quite dent resistant. Perhaps around the doors or hatch some type of drywall bead under the canvas or molding over it might make sense.

Small dents self repair in the sun and larger ones can be coaxed out with the steam from a hot iron on a wet towel.

Yep. I used plastic drywall molding on the Big Pink, you can see it here:

I used it on every exposed corner, it has held up very well and I am very happy with it.
I found bamboo skewers the best thing to hold it in place while drying.
On really tight inner curves, I trimmed each section to avoid overlap.
Glidden Gripper glued it in place a lot better than TB2.(TB2 ran off the plastic)
Any home improvement store should have it. Lowes, Home Depot, Menards, etc...

There are 2 kinds... one has a shape like it was rounded over.
The one I used has a bead on the corner....

IMHO using that was a mistake. I had difficulty getting the canvas to stick
tightly to the foam over that bead. I glued things down with Gripper and
left it to dry.

My mistake was likely leaving it. The canvas shrunk more and pulled up
off the foam from the bead a little bit in several places.

An alternative may have been to glue the flat and then later glue it
down over the corner.

I think I am the one that started the hardening of edges with flashing/beading. There is more info in my build thread. I think it starts near page 10 and is mentioned pretty regularly for a few pages past that.

I have to say I like the look and the idea of the plastic edging best and the added protection it gives. I decided to skip it on mine, just sanding the edges with an orbital sander w/80 grit or so. The corner gets covered with canvas and TBII twice since the top and sides lap over it by several inches. It's reasonably stiff.

A few reasons I prefer canvas is it's just much quicker, I'm 57 years old and am really enjoying camping and exploring and not spending lots of time building a camper. Also any repair big or small would be easiest on just canvas corners.
I am uneasy with all the different materials all glued together and subjected to heat/cold cycling from the weather. Foam, pva glue and primer, vinyl(?) edging, spackling, if it doesn't stay stuck or gets a good thump it would not be easy to fix.
But, I really have no real life experience with such on a foamie. I hope others will let us know how things fare.
