Started fabbing my overhead luggage/storage rack.

Cut and pre drilled a piece of 1/2" baltic birch for the bottom.

After determining where the rack goes, I cut the molding and did a little wildcat drilling to find the roof bows.

I got spooked that just one #10 metal screw into each of 3 roof bows was maybe a little shy.
So I built these pieces to get 2 more screws in each tube. Notice the slight angle cut, this will match the roof slope.

Welded the screw tabs on. 9 screws ought to do the trick.

There she is all mounted. The wall studs were much easier to find since one was exposed from the window cut out.
And YES I plan on getting a more manly sheet for the mattress.
