Thanks Mark : I haven't even gotten it cleaned up in that picture. It was out in the wet and snow when I got it and the dividing white foam had bled off onto it a bit. I would have better pics but the weather kinda closed in on us so cleaning was put on the back burner ...

WOW 6 MONTHS SINCE I LAST VISITED HERE

The "Platform" ( patio ) between the depot and the caboose was getting hazardous I punched thru twice while walking on it. The old deck was crate lumber from parts shipped to the local caterpillar plant from Germany. It was never treated ( my fault) and weathered badly! I was in luck however the neighbors were refacing their deck and being nosey I stopped over. In conversation I asked where the old decking was going and was told in the pasture to burn. Being the ever vigilant opportunist I offered to haul it off for them . They thought that would be great and I took over my 5x10 flatbed trailer to put the "scrap" lumber on. Long story short I just flipped the lumber over and am installing it as a second layer over the failing original deck. Have I ever mentioned I love FREE !!!!

This crept in it is the duct work chase way from the wood stove building to the depot and caboose.

I had to add this. I had no idea it was 8 1/2 years ago that I purchased the windows that are now being used in the chase. This was taken from one of the original caboose posts >>>>>>Thu Mar 08, 2012 9:54 am

I AM SURE A FEW MIGHT DECIDE TO STAY WARM BUT THE STEEL SHOULD KEEP MOST OUT !

I am trying to make the outer shell critter tight and the tubes will be completely sealed so they won't get inside !

Yep still alive. Looking at the big 70 in 4 more days. Opened a used furniture shop as a hobby it has turned into a late life career. Lifting and carrying furniture IS cheaper than going to the gym. (and I am making a buck to two)

NO MORE EXTENSION CORDS

I finally got brave and opened the breaker box in the tractor barn. I had buried 130 feet of 8 gage 4 wire underwater rated power cable well over a year ago. ( shame on me for taking so long. I purchased the needed breakers and strain relief fittings and went after it. With two hot wires I was able to feed the caboose and the depot on separate circuits. I sent all to the depot and added a box there to send one hot circuit on to the the caboose, The neutrals and the grounds passed on (separately) to the second feed.
I now have hard wired lighting and power in both units without the damned extension cords. While I was in there I added two more breakers and fed the wall recepticals and the lighting circuits in the she shed / shop.

I was so stoked I went to the house in a house storage building and loaded my 450 pound monster wood stove. It took me and two helpers but we got it in the trailer and transported 30 miles without incident. With the little 8N and a lift boom we placed in in the remote wood stove building. I have the pipe and two sections of insulated chimney ready I just need a few fittings and the stove will be installed. I gotta get off my butt winter is coming !

Good thinking! How about a round hole or two for pancake flipper handles, spatula handles, wooden (or silicone) long spoons, etc?

If you look really hard you can just see the corner of a wide drawer under the RV stove. That big wide drawer had every kitchen utensil you can think of and enough tableware for 6 or more. The stove set too low and needed a boost and I found a wall oven cabinet I modified it to give the stove a boost and a home for the cooking goodies in the drawer.

Well time is once again getting short to get fully insulated so despite a back injury I am doing what I can.....
