It does make sense. I recall encountering this issue with my sister's teardrop.
I think the easiest thing to do is make the rear of the floor parallel with the inside of the hatch. But of course with a 3/8" gap for a 1/2" D-seal.
I can think of two ways to accomplish this.
The easiest would be to glue and screw a rectangular piece along the edge of the floor, remove the screws, and then rip the proper angle off with a circular saw. Of course, you'd want a straight edge attached to the floor to guide the saw.
The other way would be to rip the piece with the proper angle and then glue it to the floor. But that might be a challenge to hold it in place while the glue sets.
Does that make sense?
