First time teardrop build

Hope that makes sense. I'm not sure that little triangle will last...

It does make sense. I recall encountering this issue with my sister's teardrop.

I think the easiest thing to do is make the rear of the floor parallel with the inside of the hatch. But of course with a 3/8" gap for a 1/2" D-seal.

I can think of two ways to accomplish this.

The easiest would be to glue and screw a rectangular piece along the edge of the floor, remove the screws, and then rip the proper angle off with a circular saw. Of course, you'd want a straight edge attached to the floor to guide the saw.

The other way would be to rip the piece with the proper angle and then glue it to the floor. But that might be a challenge to hold it in place while the glue sets.

I believe a light bulb just went off. You're talking about the end of the trailer ripping a piece to that angle and gluing/attaching along the whole bottom. For the bottom hatch seal correct.

Got my new template traced and cut and layout lines transferred also did some planning on where to go next. Which I believe is cutting skeltons.

Also made a router edge guide as I couldn't find one locally.

Now that the holidays season is over I'm getting back to this project.
I finally worked up the courage to cut the walls open. Got the door openings cut.

Then I also used my router jig and cut the 2.25" strip off the top.

Next is marking out weight reduction cuts and the back hatch.

And I may have a touch of PTSD over that beast. I'm back to writing fiction. I can lie all I want.

Here's a primer:

Got both skeletons cut today. I never quite realized how much weight this was going to eliminate but it is considerable.

These jig saw blades I used made easy work of it and left a pretty clean edge top and bottom. Just have to go slow and let the blade do all the work.

Sunday I think I will get insulation and the 1/4" skins for inside and out. Also look into ordering 1/8" for roof and ceiling.

Our local Menards carries it. I'm having problems locating 1/8" plywood for ceiling.
I can order utility plywood nothing fancy, I'll
probably just paint the ceiling
