Generator

What am I missing here? When we tried to run this, gas poured out everywhere! These are the only lines we see. I dont know where the gas was leaking from. We looked inside and out and all the other lines are connected. Any ideas? Throw'em at me! Image

Is it on its side? If thats the case the float in the carb will not work an fuel will come out the intake. Otherwise possibly a stuck float in the carb bowl. Sometimes a few taps on the side of the float bowl will make it behave.

I leaked when it was upright. Completely emptied. Where is the float bowl?

The float bowl is the underside of the carburetor. I wonder if the float bowl has a drain valve/screw with a drain fuel line that was left open. If so, shut the valve off.

If drain valve was shut, you might try pouring a pint or so of gas into the tank with the side cover off while you simultaneously look to see where the fuel is flowing out from.

If fuel is draining out the overflow tube on the carburetor i would suspect the float valve inside the bowl is stuck (like Friz said)

I think that the green screw near green dot on hose may be a bowl drain screw ?

That shiny silver cylinder thingy in the middle of the top half of the photo just below where you are pointing is the carburetor bowl. The screw on the bottom is holding it on and the screw on the side is the drain. There is a gasket sealing the top of the bowl. If that is askew and the float inside is sticking, gas will indeed exit the top of that bowl like a fountain.

We got the gas leak stopped, but now it will start and then immediately stop. We checked the filter, it is clean. We checked the oil, it is full and clean.
