FoxDen Electrical Schematic Review

Good evening,
I have created a simple schematic of what I am attempting to do. Would appreciate feedback/suggestions on what to do or not do to improve it and to make sure that I do this in a safe manner. Thanks is advance for all suggestions and input.

I'm a 12-volt only camper, so the thing that caught my eye was the 80-amp breaker for your 12-volt system.

Mine is wired for 15 amps. What are you going to power with it? Wouldn't that need 3 or 4 gauge wire? Which is about as big around as my little finger?

I think the feed to my shop is 100 amps...

Tony, my fuse block is a 100 amp Blue Sea 5026. I will probably never get close to using all of it; my current set up (Cargo Trailer Build) totals about 40 amps (fans, lights, cpap with humidifier, tv, stereo, water pump, charging station). I do tend to overbuild, ha! I doubt I will ever come close to the full capacity on that block. The wire chart I used said #4 AWG for 100 amp.

Pmullen, I use an AiLi battery monitor as well and that is the location my instructions had.

The challenge will be attaching that size wire to the fusebox. 4 AWG is like jumper cable wire.

I use the same box.



My feeder line from the battery to the fusebox is #12 AWG, just like an AC circuit in my home except it uses multi-stranded copper. A 15 amp breaker protects it. Ceiling fan, lights, USB ports, CPAP, Propex heater, and sometimes charge my laptop. Nary a blown fuse or popped breaker.
