Folks,
'There is no such thing as a Dumb Question' Good thing, in my case! <g>
My candidate for the honor of being the first to have one is as follows.
We ordered cool reading lights from Boaters World--saw them on Tom S's build and ordered same...they are advertised as being Swedish in origin.
I opened the package when it came expecting to find two little wires that I could use to test the lamps. Wrong!
Instead of two wires what you have is the two wires going to the lamp buried in some sort of connector box. This box has 6! tiny screws. The real genius of this is that there is no wiring diagram to help you with this thing.
Now, I am sure that two screws are for the hot wire and return coming from the breaker box. Two must be for wires to continue the circuit to another device if you want to. Question 1) What order do you wire this thing in...say the screws pole are #1 (two nearest the lamp) #2 (the two in the middle) 3# (the two farthest from the lamp) which poles get the hot and return from the box? Which are for attaching wire to continue a parallel circut? And What is the third one for? And man, you need a jeweler's loupe (spelling?) to see those srews!
Thanx,
Jim
