I've been in contact with the owner as he restored this trailer and he's sent me some photos. The trailer has some absolutely stunning details. Here's an example - the kitchen has fold-down 2-burner gas stove tops. In this photo, one is down and one up:
Hands up anyone who would like that in their teardrop galley!
I'm pretty sure that this trailer would win a 'best ever trailer styling' competition, though some people won't like that period of styling. Here's a couple of shots for anyone who doesn't read the article:
The trailer is 24 feet long and is all moulded fiberglass, including what looks like honeycomb sandwich in the roof. In 1960!! It is reported to weigh only 2,500 pounds. It's either a unique prototype or the one survivor of four.
