Not a TTT but very cool

Saw this article on the Tin Can tourist web site. It's not a TD or TTT but I think everyone here can appreciate the trailer and I loved the story.

Cool style! I'd like to see someone build a TD like that.

Annoyingly, you have to register with that newspaper website to see the article.

I've been in contact with the owner as he restored this trailer and he's sent me some photos. The trailer has some absolutely stunning details. Here's an example - the kitchen has fold-down 2-burner gas stove tops. In this photo, one is down and one up:

Hands up anyone who would like that in their teardrop galley!

I'm pretty sure that this trailer would win a 'best ever trailer styling' competition, though some people won't like that period of styling. Here's a couple of shots for anyone who doesn't read the article:

The trailer is 24 feet long and is all moulded fiberglass, including what looks like honeycomb sandwich in the roof. In 1960!! It is reported to weigh only 2,500 pounds. It's either a unique prototype or the one survivor of four.

That would look neat behind an early Studebaker 8)

I was thinking of a 59 Impala:

Of course you can't see those taillights, which are one of the few to get close to a 59 Caddy's.

My exact thoughts, 59 or 60, the lines would be perfect with the trailer. Actually an Impala wagon might look even better!

I was thinking it was more buick like than chevy....
besides, as rare as the trailer is a Chevy is pretty common.

You better run down there and make him a offer. You could make a mint or have one of the coolest trailers ever.

That's one of the neatest designs I've seen yet on a retro trailer. I vote for the 57 Plymouth for towing.
