I'm in the process of wiring and have installed two aircraft type 12V reading lights. When testing them I found they do generate some heat to the rear as well as the front. I plan to leave about 2" around the lights with no insulation but I am concerned that when have the roof skin on that this heat could be a problem in such a small area as there is no place for the heat to vent or disapate. Is this, or is it not, something to be concerned about? It feels hot to me but maybe it's not hot enough to cause a fire or other problem. I don't know.
I saw in another thread that there are LED replacements for some incandecent bulbs. Does anyone know of a LED replacement for an 1139 bulb?
