I have sewed (sp) since was little but never worked on anything big. I did sew the curtains for the trailer out of dish towels. Not to hard. If we are going to have a quilting contest, I've done that too. Acouple of years ago I had a stack of old Levi's that I couldn't get into anymore or had worn out in the usual palces. I cut them up into 6" squares and sewed them together inside/outside to create a checkerboard look. THen I got some good warm flanel (a MANLY pattern) and put it together. It now is part of the trailer. A nice, warm blanket that I made, and I'm proud of it.
Don't worry, I started the thread. Let it wander where it may. Most often it acutally becomes more interesting

Have really enjoyed the responses. My Dad thought it was essential to do be reasonably proficient in a variety of skills.
