I was amazed how fast I got Ira's creative work to leaf though.

Geez some of you Guys are impatient ;) You're all on the same slab of land and you get worried that it's not there yet. Just think about us Guys down here when you start fretting the small stuff

Ira... I got the mag today... Damn funny stuff, what I've read so far. I think you have a sure winner. Gawd... I hope your Mayor & Commissioners have a since of humor... their "real bios" were a hilarious trip! Can't wait to read more...

By the way your graphic design looks great... What'd you do it in... Quark?

Got my copy today. Disgusting . Raunchy. Filthy. Racist. Sophomoric. Dirty. Nasty. Politically incorrect.

When can I get a subscription?

Finally something written at my reading level.

I'm not reading it all right now--I want to spread out the pleasure for as long as possible.

Seriously, it has the best production quality of any "rag" I've seen in a long time.

You must be proud, and deservedly so.

I hope you don't do any jail time, but if you do, I know it will make a great story.

Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Thanks, guys!

A few of your copies just went out YESTERDAY--I had planned to do it Monday, but I didn't get a chance. Also, when I went to check my P.O. Box, Jack's and David's envelope's were sitting there as returned because of NO POSTAGE ON THEM!

Now believe me, I don't know how I could have made this mistake--I only mailed out 25 and handled each one with tenderness and love. But obviously, I DID screw up, but they're now on their way. I was probably dizzy from that long shlep back to the Post Office after locking my keys in the truck.)

(Paul, give me an address.)

So far, the response from the locals has been nothing but raging positive. I'm getting people telling me that they're not just laughing, but they're laughing until it hurts. But now comes the really hard part:

Turning this into a money-maker.

Brick, yeah--Quark 7, which has finally caught up with In Design with some cool new features, like drop shadows for text and art, transparency, etc.. Used to be a pain having to go into Photoshop to do that stuff and bring it back into Quark.

Being the complaining Jew that I am, there are a few things I spotted that really bug me but that most people will hardly notice or blink at:

A few typos (last word in tuba piece should be "Munich," not "Munch")...a box rule that doesn't align on the bottom (Whose Ass Is This)...a bad clipping path on the right side of that girl's leg...and a March/May boo boo in the the second Jesus piece.

I know--it doesn't mean squat, but it still bothers me.
Here we go again!

Got mine today Ira. It has a prominent place right on the toilet tank for my reading pleasure. Quite polished looking for such a filthy rag.  Danny

Ira,

Never laughed so hard. My wife said to get that filthy stuff out of her house, so as I headed out to to the shop, she said, "Hold it a minute, if Ira wrote it let me see how warped he is." I'll probably never get it back, but I heard her laughing. Now she'll have new stories to tell on her next mission trip.
