Truthfully I am up with a scared baby and trying to figure out why my pictures won't come off the little thingy. Ha. I complain to the forum and it happens.
This is the reason we, Hailey and I are awake. My son got broadsided in my van this afternoon. Flipped the van over to it's top. I look at these pictures and realize how truly blessed we are.
No one was seriously hurt and the bumps and bruises will heal. The baby may afraid to be around strangers for a while. She got passed around by the EMTs and Nurses while getting x-rayed. By the time I got to the hospital she'd had enough. Now she won't let anyone hold her but Grandma.
I am totally amazed the other car has very little damage. It hit just right and over it went. I am also amazed at the behavior of some of the fire department. When Mike and I walked to the van a firefighter looked straight at us and said "just another Missouri driver." Completely callus. Mike didn't hit the man but let him know that was our son in a tone no one would mistake for friendly,
The problem isn't Missouri drivers the problem is our street signs. We have yield signs instead of stop signs. Been that way forever. When cars are parked on the streets and the drivers don't see one another this is the result. Neither car was speeding. There is a witness that says the van was flying but the driver of the other car said if he had been going faster she would have missed him. See she hit her brakes and so did he. Doesn't work well.
