martha24 wrote:Doug, I'll have to correct you on the part where dogs become door stops, at least in my house the gravitational pull seems to put my dog right where we walk and can be easily tripped over. Sometimes when we step over her it seems to break the vortex and she is no longer on the ground right in mid process of stepping over her and we get a second chance to get snagged in the gravitational pull and end up on the floor ourselves.  Of course if we were to end up on the floor we wouldn't be laughing. More than one person has just about killed themselves this way. Its especially dangerous when it happens in the hall in the dark and the dog can't easily be seen.

Martha--not to hijack this very important thread, but I think what you have identified is something I have been studying in my dog for quite some time. I am not sure how much the gravitational vortexes influence the K-9 trait you mention. I think it is more along the lines of doggie ESP. I have noted that my dog has the incredible talent to know exactly where I will need to step or the direction I will need to walk with something heavy in my hands approximately eight seconds in advance. He will always be in the perfect spot eight seconds before I get there there for me to trip over or have to coax to move out of the way.

They are either pyschic, or they use their doggie hypno-rays to influence your path of movement. Not sure which, but I don't think it is the gravity influence.

I know for certain, though, that dog hair is affected by this heavy gravity thing as it seems to pull my dog's hair out by the pound. I just can't figure out why I am bald and he isn't!
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

This gravity situation has been caused by the previous administration of Bill Clinton's, and is in no way my fault. However, we have studied the problem, and have stragisized this plan to fix it. I am asking congress to approve a ten percent tax cut for people in the top ten percent of wage earners. I call this the ten-for-ten gravitational tax cut. In addition, we are looking for a country to invade that prefera...prerfel...preferingler... we hope has nothing to do with the problem. This is what we call Operation Garvitation Freedom. Some critics may say that these ideas makes no sense, but we all know they hate America. Do not be worrisome, we wil complish this mission, and win the war on gravitationery extremism. Thank you, and God bless me."

I think we need to start a petition for the government to do something about this increasing gravitational pull. We can circulate the petition with the one denouncing dihydrogen monoxide. Two very important issues to any member of Homo sapiens!

:o Maybe we should ask Paul if there is some heavy blow from downunder/upover. That might cause a vortex here.

I was watching a science program on TVLD channel last night, and it seems that some Good Ole Boys have come up with an anti-gravity device for a car.

From what I understand, they never mean any harm, but they've apparently been in trouble with the law since the day they were born. They're just makin' their way the only way they know how, but I guess that's just a little bit more than the law will allow.

This photo shows them using their anti-gravity device to outsmart some police officers.
