Yes, those are the best clamps. But it seems that there is another gravity cavity possessing my hatch. It's even repelling the sand bads :lol:

Mary,

It may be a bit of extra work, but you could make a cradle to the exact shape of the hatch. then place your skin in and the hatch on top of that. You will be able to apply lots more gravity to it in this manner. If you made a pattern for your spars then just use that to make the cradle. I think that 4 supports would to the trick.

Or flip it all over and put the cradle on top of the hatch.

:thinking: :thinking: Hmmm... Ya got an idea there... we will be trying more sand BAGS :roll: tonight and if that doesn't do it, then we might have to try your idea. But that is a lot of work though...

It really is not that much work, but you do need some materials. You could use cheap sheathing materials and some 2x2s or 2x4 to build one.
