OK ladies I am finally checking in. I have been cruising around on this site for about 6 weeks and picked up my shop built teardrop in Michigan about 3 weeks ago and have been busy ever since with "little projects" to finish. My teardrop is in beautiful shape as the guy who made it did a great job. Putting my touches on it just to enhance it a little, personalize it and call it my own. Check out the pictures in my album for the updates. I will post the cooler drawer tomorrow, as I just finished it today. So after many trips to Home Depot, Menards, and Harbor freight, a new 1/2" drill, lots of screws, brackets etc. I am finally done. (Except for the curtains, which Diane is making). Here's a list of the stuff I have done: Drilled through trailer tongue, mounted hinged storage box
Made outside table, covered with vinyl tablecloth and decked out with fancy upolstry tacks on edges for a retro look
Mounted outside night light by the door
Made custom screen door to fit the doorway for more air and no mosquitos
Made personalized trailer name plaque
Made custom window flowerbox (Diane's request) with beautiful flowers that bloom all year

The box and the door light pop off for travel
Added a memoryfoam topper to the mattress
Reconfigured the bottom cabinet door in the galley to accordian open like the left side, so I could build a elevated drawer for the cooler.
Plan to use an ez up canopy for shade and shelter. Also got a Eureka large solar shade to set up just outside the door to double as a changing room/ porta potty space.
Brutus my little dog has already seemed to claim the teardrp as his own. Hope he doesn't mind sharing.
Looking forward to my first weekend trip this next weekend. Yea I will finally be off call duties for a free weekend!
Have enjoyed reading all about all the hard work you gals have put in on your little trailers too. Can't wait to get out of Chicagoland for a little relaxation next week.
