Unkl Ron, here...
I've been lurking around the site for about 2 years. Last weekend I figured it was time to officially sign on (so I could actually "see" all the cool stuff you folks have been doin). Posted some picts of my Tear Drop in my Album. Also some plans for a Flag Pole/Mobile, if anyone hasn't seen it yet, it may be worth a look-see. I'm struggling trying to figure out how to attach picts. or a .jpg file to a messge on this site. So for now, my album has all the show-and-tell graphical stuff.
I've been camping since the early 50's. Resided in Missouri for 20 years, then spent 40 years in California and early last year moved to Florida. Over the years I've built more things than I can remember and owned more tents, Westfalia(s), other RV's, Camper Vans, Truck Campers, etc., than any person should have a right to own - But, this is America, and Camping is still a notch or two better than 3 day old Chili. After this last move, I decided to buy yet another Camper - so a new TD was the logical choice, since it's just me, now. Nowadays I prefer to spend my (ahem) leisure time camping, rather than building (OR sittin in a Mega$$ house on wheels - but, to each his own - no disrespect intended).
Ordered a Camp-Inn TD (well, technically it's a RainDrop) in Feb.'06 - picked it up November '06. What a hoot!! TearDrops are THE way to go... Been all over the states (for about the 40-11th time) since I got it. Made some trip(s) to Missouri, Louisiana, New Mexico, California, Tennessee, Kentucky, Carolinas, yada, yada, yada; and all points in between. Oh yeah; and lots of trips to the State Parks here in Florida. Really like camping in (ahem) sandy campsites. Boy, the SP's here have a ton of raccoons AND armadillos. Curious little critters. B'Fore I got here the only time I've really seen any was on the interstate (on in a zoo).
I've probably exceed my monthly message word limit by now, so I'll sign off until another time.
Kindest Regards to all,
Ron
