I have tried cutting cloth on a bias, and the results were horrible, the cloth has no strength if it won't stay in the joint. The floor gets glued down over these joints, so they will never be seen again.Randy S. Hager wrote:Dell:
Order a couple of catalogs. Order Wicks Aircraft Supply in Ill. and from Aircraft Spruce in Cal. You’ll find tapes that are already on a bias call Biax tapes. Also get the Peel Ply to go along the edges to blend the tapes in. (feather edged) This is how they do it on the fiberglass homebuilt airplanes. You will be surprised at how the edges disappear.
