I had to laugh when I read that part about shooting straight up in the air...... I got my first bow when I was about 10...... My cousin and I went out to my grandmothers farm and did exactly that......... We shot the arrow straight up, and then we jumped into a wooden doghouse to think we were safe.........
I bowhunted for 15 years. I gave it up 15 years ago. I was actually thinking about getting started again , but I pulled some things in my arm/elbow and I have a hard time pulling a compound. But several weeks ago I discovered that crossbows are legal with a doctors document. I looked into crossbows and realized that they are becoming popular.........
With some people at least. Pretty controversial here in Iowa.
