I joined this list because my good friend Del built a modified Roswell and is on his way to FL. I want to stay in contact with him and track his progress.

He built a really cool trailer and I'm really proud of him. He's a great example for us all. He doesn't let his limitations stop him or slow him down.

Thanks for letting me be a part of your group. :snow And Del, you got out of here just in time!

Welcome aboard Diane!

Del sure has build an amazing trailer. When I first saw the drawing I figured it couldn't be done. I still keep thinking that he is building a trailer that just can't be built! I can't wait to see it in person.

So, are you going to build your own trailer? We have a lot of ladies here who have built really nice trailers. I think that we have pretty well proven that teardrop buildingisn't about gender, but about perseverance and effort.

Anyway, this is a fun place to hang out and chat with the folks. There is a great bunch here!

Welcome again,
Joanne

I don't know if I will build one, but I wouldn't mind having one. Right now, I don't have time. I'm a full time student, working toward June graduation with a BA and honors. That keeps me pretty busy. And I don't have the tools...guess I could go use Del's shop. lol

Del showed my your camp cooking site and I look forward to exploring there, too. ;)

Hi DianeD,

Welcome to the forum.

Del Update:

Just saw Del from 10:30 til 12:00 today in Nevada, MO. He is fine and really likes the weather down here better than up there, but not as good as Florida. That is quite a unique trailer he has built. He said the only bad part of his trip was some pass in Oregon that took him about 5 hours to go through. He got into Nevada, MO yesterday and was planning on leaving tomorrow to head for Florida.

Anyway, have fun and we will see you around.

 Image Diane. See the problem is once you get on the site you get hooked. It is much too late so start planning. You won't be in school forever.

Pictures found here. http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u78/ ... MO%202007/

:lady: Thanks Uncle Mike and Aunti M for the welcome and info about Del's trip. Also heard from his mom this afternoon.

I checked out the pictures and I love all the little trailers. Do you suppose that I could make one that looked like a mini castle or a medieval hut? Ok, now I've got my thinking cap on....look out. I especially liked the kitchens and BBQ.

We had another snow storm yesterday. :snowstorm: I'm glad Del got out of here, and apparently didn't hit any really bad weather.

Take care all. And thanks again for the welcome! :shake hands:

Hi all,

Del is doing fine and spending the night just north of Weaver, Alabama. He got to Oxford around noon (central time) and we met him and led him back to our place out in the wilds of Weaver. Took a walk-about to show him some of the buildings and land and then ate, walked back down to the camp grounds and talked, sat by the fire after dark, ate again after it got too cold for outdoor fire sitting, then sat here in the kitchen and talked some more. Just took him back to the Jelly Bean and am ready to hit the sack.

Will get pix of the Jelly Bean in the am and post them asap. Tis truly an awesome build!

G'nite,
Dave
