Got Bigfoot

Postby pete.wilson » Thu Mar 20, 2008 10:49 am

Hey

As a lot of you know by now that I'm involved with bigfoot research and am a member of the AIBR-Alliance of Independent Bigfoot researchers and the TBRC-Texas Bigfoot Research Conservancy, both of which are found on the web. I operate out of my home and have a small group and use the name of Kansas Bigfoot Investigations. If anyone living in the mid-west/southcentral US has any large tracks of land in MO, OK, ARK, KS (preferably in NE to eastern OK or westernARK, or SE KS etc) and have seen one or suspect they may be around, please let me know. Due to Kansas not being an overly active state, I'm trying to locate a long term research area on private land which would have occasional but very limited use. This would be a professional operation headed by myself. If anyone might be interested, please send me an email and we can discuss options at that time. Thanks All

Why hasn't anyone found a dead bigfoot? When was the last time you found a dead deer, bear, coyote, fox, squirrel, etc. that died in the woods.........Hmmm.

Since your subject line is in the form of a statement rather than a question, I thought "WOO HOO! Somebody finally got him!"

Imagine my disappointment...

Hey

Sorry for the disappointment. But it did catch your attention, even for just a minute. I'm still working on the "got him" part. :snappy:

IMHO you'd be better off looking in the Pacific Northwest. Ya gotta look for him where he is, not where you are, and I really don't think he's in Kansas anymore...

For the rest of you, yes, I do believe in Bigfoot. Does the term Gigantopithecus ring a bell? Supposedly extinct for 100,00 years, which is a drop in the bucket in terms of evolutionary time and it definitely coexisted (at least in terms of time) with Homo Sapiens. There could easily be a few left.

the Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana area has a lot of sightings. A couple years ago a group of researchers spent time around the lake north of my hometown looking for evidence.

I've got a few friends in and around the NE Texas and SE Oklahoma area, I'll give 'em a call and see if I can come up with anything. I've got a piece of land myself that's in the area, but it's only an acre or so and that wouldn't do you much good.

Hey

Joseph,

There is no doubt that there are more bigfoot roaming the PNW than anywhere else in the US; but there is still viable numbers elsewhere. Kansas as I stated is not a hotbed of activity but there is actvity in some nearby states to which is within driving distance of where I live. If you look at the sighting databases of say the BFRO, TBRC and AIBR you will find hundreds of reports for the public to read; but what you may not know is that all of those reports are only a fraction somewhere between probably 25% to 50% of the total reports for those three groups. Of course, you also have to realize that remaining un-posted reports includes joke report submissions, hoaxes, on-going investigations, etc., as well as reports where the witness requests that the information not be publicized. If a person does their homework, you might be amazed at how much activity there is outside of the PNW. As for KS. this is where I make my living, have my family and bigfooting is my long time hobby. If I had an opportunity to live in an area of hot bed of activity and was able to keep my family housed and fed that would be great, but I make do where I'm at. By the way I have published reports of nearly 25 reports in KS. alone since 1970, the last was in 2005. I wonder how many more potential stories are out there but haven't been told because people fear of being laughed at. I'm used to it anymore, so it doesn't bother me.

Also, did you know there is a group based in Virginia and has been around for quite a few years. 8)

P.S. Jeremy,
Was that somewhere around the Caddo Lake area, Jefferson TX. or around the Red River near Paris, TX? If so, it may have been the Texas Bigfoot Research Conservancy. Two of our ladies were on a recent episode of Monsterquest, another lady was from the AIBR. Pete

Sure, but they tend to be down in the southwest part of the state which, coincidentally, is where the preponderance of stills are.

I guess Bigfoot likes his 'shine...

It was near Paris, TX, around the Red River & Pat Mayse Lake. I've heard of a lot of sightings around the Muddy Boggy Creek around Soper, Oklahoma. A good friend of mine lives near it & has some acreage, you could probably poke around there if you were interested.

Hey

As of right now; I'm working on getting together a few of my Fellow AIBR people together for a Memorial Day weekend outing starting on Friday and going through maybe Tuesday conducting an investigation in LeFlore County, OK. Several times there has been activity up there and is not too far from where some of the footage for the TV documentary "Bigfootville" was done, the other area was farther south near Broken Bow, OK. Too bad I don't have a teardrop!

Jeremy,
If you and your friends might be interested, the TBRC is having a bi-monthly meeting in Corsicana, TX. on June 21 at the Gander Mountain. It's open to the public, let them know I sent you (I may make it myself).

Pete you do not need a trailer to join us down at Bever Bend a tent will do just fine. Come down and look around and meet the people and look at the trailers and get a good idea of space and size that would feel right to you.

Lefore County, OK ? Close to home. Something out there besides our seasonal hungry brown bear each year.
