My tent is a 10 X 12 canvas with six foot walls. It also has a wood-burner stove for heat. Trouble is it takes a couple of hours to set up and another couple to pack up. I am 61 and single. That is why I started to look at trailers. Cost keeps most trailers out of reach. Also almost all of the camping is done in remote fields where it is next to imposable to get anything big in and out of.
I don't like pop-ups but in my search I found the tear-drops and at a road-side rest last fall I met a family with a tear-drop. It is an attention getter and I found if you ask "Can you really fit even one person in that thing?" They will go out of their way to show you.
The two of them ran to open it up and show it off.
I can't afford one now and since I rent and do not have a garage or anywhere else to build it I will have to wait a while longer.
But I would love to build one if I had the space to do so. Since I am really looking for a easy way to camp (and stay warm) a simple box can do that. So anything I build that is better than that is a bonus.
