Cut another door

Those of you with masterpiece TD are think nooo way. But mine is a folk art TD and only has one door. I don't know how it was built. If I cut a second door and put in braces would the TD still have enough strength to not collapse? There is a window there already.

I would think it would be just fine. It looks like your walls are solid, and not framed so if so, that would be fine for strength, and there wouldn't be any worries of hitting any wires either.

Yep, there are certainly no wires. When I cut the shelf on the inside I found he had screwed and contact cemented the support in place. That's why I just cut out the part I didn't want and added another support.

I think cutting a door then adding vertical supports left and right and across the top might be ok. Are there instructions here for building a door.

Am I dreaming to think I could carefully cut out the side for the door and add a frame around it to be the new door?

If your walls are 3/4 inch plywood then look in the Generic Benroy Plans on how to make a door.
