I guess if I'm gonna learn how to get in the surf in the new yak, I should learn in the most extreme conditions--NOT!!!
The forecast this morning put it on a course south of us with us getting tropical force winds and 1-2 inches of rain. What few folks realize that in Corpus, we get tropical force winds all the time. They just don't call it that unless there is a storm a brewin'. The rest of the time, it is just windy.

Imagine Texas getting rain in July though. That might call for a party.

Rain in July? I think we have a city ordinance against that. Shoot--it will probably make that brown stuff in my front yard turn green and cause it to grow. Where did I store that gas powered lawn cutter thingy?

I don't think 10 people live between the two towns. There is nothing there but the King Ranch.
