will be fitting the original fenders. Andy emaild a varient which is single curvature & alot easier to fabricate.
may resort to these if im getting too bogged down.
this means a loss of 2 foot potential extra width.

As the wood the prop is hitting doesn't appear to be structural/critical, trimming a bit off shouldn't hurt. Of course as light as that hatch is, it would be easier to try adding a piece as a spacer to see how it'll work instead of/before doing any cutting.
