Fair exchange is no robbery
Get your mate involved enough in the build and you might pass the infection to him  You could soon have enough to start a local chapter of your own. Oh yeah I hope your other half is a willing supporter. Have a great day don't forget...slip slop slap. :R :R :laughter:

Yup, mate is interested in progress, and the beers.
Another bloke I ride with is watching with interest too, I was telling him about it recently at a mountain bike race we were at, saying how good it will be for things like that. He piped up and said he was actually thinking about one without realising I was into it.

Believe it or not we are nine days into summer and it is raining, just, but when you paint houses for a crust its no good.

Do you like your forehead? I ask 'cos with that hatch you might not get to keep it in one piece, depending on just how high the trailer rides.

If you moved the hatch hinge forward a foot or two and make the hatch L-shaped, you'd get good height at the back of the trailer, plus a stove in the galley doesn't set fire to the roof above it.

Hi mate,
The height should be good, with my template set up on the trailer the rear is 1350ish obove the chassis plus the trailer height, I am 6'1 and it will clear even my box head (in theory anyway). The line is slighty higher than the one on my sketch. Plans, like rules are made to be ignored

Geez Glider sorry to hear about that , thats a bit harsh.
I am a house painter and with all this economic turn down the media are whipping into a frenzy I havent done a quote for a month, which is very unheard of for this time of year. I employ one bloke , I have enough work for summer (which we are in at the moment) but if things dont pick up......welll I might have the time for some more bike riding and teardropping.

As for my project progress is at a standstill at the moment, get Xmas out of the way and hook into it again.

Ok kids,
have started building my frame, what are your suggestions for the roof spar and front wall spar spacings. I was thinking about 400mm spacings over the roof but what about the front

Hi magilla.

First I want to say that everybody that I know has been real sad to see the ever growing casualty list caused by the fires. And to see such horific scenes of destruction sweeping through your state right now. I hope you and yours are staying safe.

But on a more cheery note. The frame looks great mate, real bonza. I think thats the phrase. do you know what kind of material you are going to use for the walls yet. And how about the inside do you have big plans for that Dont forget to include space for the mutt and a large enough space for a proper tinnie stash. Ah well I have to go now i'm going to do a day of winter carp fishing now(if the lake is'nt still frozen)

Stay safe, Mark.

P.S. not much to report on mine . Still no work!

Glider,
Yes the fires are terrible. Some have been started by lightening or misfortune and some by arsonists (my thoughts on what should happen to them are un printable). The loss of life is getting close to 200 and there are more to come, nearer to 800 homes lost as well. Country fire volunteers have had to deal with horrific conditions, and tragidy. I am in the State emergency service (Search and rescue) in a region called the Otways which is in the south west of Victoria, I thought about going up to help but they are heseitant to take volunteers from our area as we live near and in quite heavy bushland as well, and are concerned that if something similar happens in our region the results will be about the same.
They are the worst fires in history, whole towns have been levelled, families destroyed and it is hard to watch the news without shedding a tear, and I am no sook.

Magilla

I think I can speak for all us poms when I say our thoughts and sympathies got out to all those suffering loss of family, friends and homes. The fires have been widely covered by the news back here in the old country and it has been shocking to behold the speed and extent of the destruction and especially horrifying is the thought of those poor people overtaken by the fires when trying to escape in their cars.

Whether you guys like it or not most brits consider Oz as part of the family and it hurts to see such suffering.

Best of luck to you and yours
