I must have been bitten buy the "Fat Bug".
I knew there was a reason.

I sure hope a vaccine comes out soon.

Shocking though.

Heikki,
I think you're right but now it's officially a "disease" and can have "money" thown at it to make it go away.

I think that is why the 'medical establishment' will always deny that this idea could have any truth in it. I think it may be true, but it's probably not a highly important factor - unlike what we eat.
The US has kept good enough weight statistics that the increase in obesity can be monitored not just nationally but by state - and that data shows a disease-like spread of high level of obesity, starting near the Gulf Coast in the 1960s and spreading to the rest of the US by the 1990s. Of course that could be just the spread of a social phenomenon (eg, not worrying about being obese), but it does also fit an infectious pattern.

I share your problem in the 30/30 size even a belt dosen't help. Must be because men don't have hipsSeems in today's world there is always a medical explanation for peoples problems since a lot of folks refuse to be accountable for their own actions. The expansion of fast food/convenience foods has affected people's weight world wide.
