I am a former medium-sized TT owner, sold that and then tried a truck camper. Both too much hassle imo, so I started looking for alternatives and I think a teardrop or pop-up TTT may be the ticket. What I am looking for:
1) Full size queen to sleep two (60"x80" size, I am about 6'5")
2) Space for doggy bed (~36"x40")
3) Porta-potti (interior location for mostly nighttime use, not outside)
4) Air conditioner
5) Sitting area of some sort (must have someplace to play Yahtzee if the weather turns bad)
6) The teardrops have definitely caught my eye, but I am unsure if I can do without standing room.
7) My tow vehicle "shadow" is 80" wide and 76" tall, would like the trailer size to stay in it as much as possible (whatever happened to the days of diesel being cheaper than gas?).
I've homed in on the Lil Diner (for the seating area, but where to put the potti and dog bed?), the Optimized Winter Warrior, and the Compact III. Thanks to Mike and Andrew for these excellent designs.
Leaning towards the OWW ( http://www.mikenchell.com/images/10ftoww_e.jpg ), but I can't seem to find VRML/DXF/dimensioned drawings for it here anywhere? Let me know what other designs I may be missing, hope to join the building crowd soon!
Thanks, Rob.
