My daughter gave me a 12v/110/v electric refer, and it works great. I didn't want to build it into my tear, since I place it on the table when at campsite. What is nice about it is that I keep it in the back seat while on an extended trip, (like Shasta) and it cools the inside 40 degrees cooler than the outside temps. That means that if the inside of the car is 70, the cooler will freeze ice on the bacon and milk bottles.
I am very happy with it, and will never plug it in incorrectly again. I checked on the temps of my cold drinks while in the desert and the inside of the unit was 110 degrees. Whew. That's what happens when I put the red battery connection on the negative post. No cooling, just heating. But I am learning.
