Try this: http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/CoverageLocatorController and put in your destination. But don't necessarily count on it. I found I could ask the locals where the nearest signal was, and lots of cars pulled over at those locations

Hope you didn't drive an hour and a half just to make a phone call on your cell! Would have been easier to find a pay phone!
