Is it hot out here, or is it just me?

It's only June, and here's the weather...

Image

I put a black cast-iron skillet on my driveway, and in 30 minutes, I am taking an egg out to the skillet (pictures at 11).

Who else is hot?

Man, this sucks. I do not want to see what August will be like this year . :sweaty:

Got done mowing the front yard at around noon. Did a few other odd jobs 'til a few minutes ago. Was contemplating working on the TD, but the fan in my garage feels like a gigantic hair-dryer blowing at me. Won't mow the backyard until propably around 8 PM!

71 degrees outside here and not a cloud in the sky. :) I think I'll go out and mow the lawn later this afternoon when it cools down a bit, kinda warm out there right now. ;)

It's supposed to get to over 100 here today. Really unpleasant for us becuase we have been having unseasonably cool weather till now.

 Yeah, that's a very predictable cliche for us and your delivery is dead on. But the oven in my kitchen is dry heat too... and it just never feels too good when I go stickin my head in there with the broiler on.

I have a car restorer in Phoenix who's cars I shoot a couple times per year. I shoot them at the crack of dawn in the summer. The rest of the day, I am indoors, or in a pool.

Humm...60 deg. and overcast today. Little chilly...guess we'll go to the covered all-you-can-eat salmon bake tonight for dinner instead of the outdoor one...

My friend from Juneau is in Austin right now, and one her way to Dallas today. She flies back to Juneau tomorrow. I wish she was on my porch right now so I could observe her -- all in the name of science, of course.

"Nothing in the world can take the place of perseverence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

yep..............hot here too...............

I think he heat has really fried Charles' brain. He is our building a metal building as we speak.........He starts around 6am and stops whenever he can't go any more. I was shocked that he lasted until 6pm the other day and 4pm yesterday.

I'm ready to heat to the cool mountins for the 4th.
