Hi folks,
I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Anne in Denver and I just found this forum. I am not the wildly happy owner of a teardrop trailer just yet, but it's my dream. Really, I was born this way. As a kid we used to take family trips up to our cabin on Northern Wisconsin, and I would set up the back seat of (our gigantic 70's Chevy something or other 4-door) with a "bedroom", "kitchen", "library/lounge" area, etc. Of course it wasn't that big and it was all in the same space, but surely you get this fascination? I loved the idea that I could have a cozy little home that went with me wherever we went. I have never lost that love, it's only grown.
I still don't own a TD, but I will, oh I will. My goal was and is to acquire one by the time I'm 45 (which is in 5.5 years), not sure why I picked that number but I did. Mostly money-related. I'm not necessarily very mechanically inclined (although I do work on my 100-year-old house), and though I do learn fast I also know that the tools required to build one are many and expensive. So I'm looking to acquire one that needs love (as opposed to build - but I am so impressed by the builders on this site! AMAZING!), because that I can give it, lots of love. I am probably more passionate about this goal that anything else in my life. I'm guessing you know the feeling.
I'm also really impressed by the sense of family here. I'm a member of another forum related to music where there is similar love, and those folks have become my family. We take care of each other, and I can see you all do too. I hope I can get to know some of you, because I WILL be a TD owner! I will!
Thanks for the ear.
Cheers!
Anne
