And probably not too safe in case of any kind of accident I’m afraid. It’s always cheaper to do it yourself, but you have to buy a welder and practice a bit. There are a lot of talented fabricators on the forum. If you can find something simple, you can always have a local welder do it. I’ll probably buy a welder shortly, but in the meantime I’ve had several things welded buy a local shop and usually for $20-50 bucks (depends on how big of a job it is).

You know, down south, we see some real redneck contraptions -- I've actually seen something nearly like you were describing; therefore, I don't assume anything anymore. Being originally from the north, I wouldn't have considered it -- I guess I been in TX too long![]()
