Go to another store, or call the main office.

If I read that coupon correctly, it is off current prices, including sales price...

I just picked up the #1720 trailer from the Tacoma HF store. Price was $339. I would have used a cupon if I had one but glad to get it at this price. Sale is on till the end of November.

OK, thanks for all the replies...now, I have a question about the 1720# HF trailer verses the 1500# TSC 4x8 carry-on trailer.

You can buy either of these trailers right now for $339. The TSC trailer comes welded and ready to go, but you have to assemble the HF trailer.

Which one do you guys prefer, and why? :?

I am going to use the TSC First it is made in the USA 2) It is allready put together and welded, 3) from what I have read here the axle placement seems to be real close to where it should be @ 37" to the center for the 4x8 I will build ( SEE MADJACK I HAVE BEEN LISTENING 8) ) Harbor frieght most flip and move the axel location. I aint got that kinda patience

I agree, be aware that TSC has the 4x8 and Northern Tool has the 5x8, for about the same price, already assembled, same manufacturer. I did my research and also believe the TSC or Northern Tool trailers are a better deal than the HF.

I looked at the TSC welded trailer, and it looked like crap to me. At least the one I looked at was made almost entirely with L-shaped steel stock, and flexed like crazy when any pressure was put on it.

The HF one also has the 20% off coupon... That was the selling point for me.

TSC

Postby Chris D » Sat Nov 21, 2009 2:04 pm

The TSC trailer is made of 1/8" welded 2x2 angle and has flex until you bolt a torsion box to it (your trailer) then no more flex. I have kicked this around for over a year and I have come to one conclusion. You do not need a 5000 lb rated trailer for a 750lb TD. I looked at both trailers and the TSC won for me. The harbor freight needs way too much modification for my money. Alot of people use them and I have helped many people find the coupon and the sale. Thats why they make vanilla and chocolate.

Ten-Four on the chocolate and vanilla.

I went down to Lenoir, NC to our closest TSC store. The 4x8 Carry-on was actually $349. I still think it is the best deal for me. The fellow working there did say they sometimes put these on sale. I think I will hold off till new years, maybe they will get hard up for cash flow.

I still appreciate everyones imput. This is how we figure this stuff out with the least amount of pain.

Trailers

Postby Chris D » Sat Nov 21, 2009 4:47 pm

Hey MJ,
I learned from all you guys around here, and I think I have read just about everything on the T and TTT site. You cannot put a price on what ya get on this site. And the coolest thing is every TD is different in its own way.
