I'm not too concerned with the month thing since I haven't camped since LCG!

I just want to camp before the cold comes back, but I think it just came back today for the next 10 days at least. I'm keeping my eyes open for a warm trend!

Well, I bought yes, past tense BOUGHT some fenders! I got a referral from a friend here on the board for a guy with some regular Northern Tool style fenders for cheap and free shipping, so I emailed him since his auction had the make offer option, and I asked him how much for the 10.75" Wide fenders WITH the flat back and offered him $80 with shipping for a pair and he came back and sent me an invoice for $77 for the pair! So I bought em today! That will be nice to do something that adds a major look to the trailer!

I would like to add my straight side trim too, next since the curved trim is doing ok with the wood stickers for the time being.

I also made another res for the April gathering, and renewed my Texas Highways magazine subscription. Feelin spring right around the corner!

Me too, so I can "borrow" your method of mounting them to the sidewalls.

Well, I was REAL tempted to get some fiberglass authentic style ones I saw on ebay for $250 a pair including shipping, and then there was this other guy with some NOS, yes NOS 1947 Pontiac rear fenders that would looks GREAT. He has like a DOZEN of them ALL for $200, but he is in North Carolina. So since I liked the standard design anyway and I would like to actually PAY the mortgage, I bought these haha

I am just sitting here in my teardrop watching a movie and I just thought it was a really cool feeling when my little $15 wally world heater kicked on and then back off by itself. It just makes it feel like home!

Fenders are in! He just bundled them up in cellophane to ship them, (no box) so the outer one had three small dents!

Anyone have any ideas for this one besides fighting with the seller? I would rather avoid that whole mess. It was an eBay transaction, but he is a business.

I also really like the bare galvanized steel look, although painting is still in consideration since it was my first choice, but I think it really makes the other chrome on the trailer come out.. Any thoughts on that, look wise and technical issues to consider?

Here's some pics of one set in place:

You can see the dents in this pic... and I asking for too much?

Thomas, a paintless dent repair shop may be an option for taking those dings out.

That style fender really looks great on your trailer. To me it brings out the hotrod look even more

I like those fenders!

You NEED to get in touch with the seller ASAP. The way he packed them is unacceptable, and he should take responsibility for the dents. I'd take pics of the damage with the fenders off of the tear, and send them to the seller. Be professional, and I'm sure he or she will take care of you. That's what shipping insurance is for. :)

Yah my only fear is that they packed em that way in the first place might be an indicator of much much they care about service, and I really hate to make a stink and to wait again, plus he made me a deal on them, but yeah in the end I didn't buy dented fenders, I bought new fenders. I now you're right, I just hate this. Oh well let the drama begin

:poop:

I also can't see myself paying to have a shop take out the dents, but thank you very much for the suggestion tho! I love the way they look otherwise! definitely adds to the hot rod look!

I think I like these better than the "classic" style, at least for this one anyway

Thomas,

The fenders look so cool! I like the metal look too! I wonder if you could clearcoat them and have the shine remain?

Thomas, hopefully the seller will make things right with a minimum of drama and all will be well. But as a backup plan and were you're a handy sort of fellow, do a google search on 'dry ice dent removal'. It works with a little practice, and is an inexpensive alternative. Might do the trick.

maybe the seller will make amends for the dents -perhaps a partial refund? It stinks that that had to happen, but eventually a rock or some road debris will do the same thing for ya'. If you paint, then it's gonna get chipped. You might want to talk to someone who has an english Wheel who might can roll out the dents. I really like the natural finish
