Worked out the basics of the drop floor/Table-

Since its going to make up part of the floor I used foam insulation, and sandwhiched two pieces of finish ply.

Ran a piece of walnut thru the tablesaw, mortised out a grove to receive a piece of aluminum that was originally the rear stay from a sailboat.

Cleaned it out with chisel.

Its actually pretty solid, I wouldn't sit on it but that's impossible unless you stuck your head out the sunroof. That would look kinda dumb

Oh boy, '68 , SS , orange racing stripes and yes it is convertible. Its not mine, but I'm gonna put some orange racing stripes on my tear, just because of that car.

More progress on The White Pearl as the weather is getting better I may be able to pull her outside to finish fiber-glassing the hull, the door and the galley lid. I have still been making progress inside the garage with the help of a wood burning stove and a shrinking pile of firewood.
Here is an update on the Galley-
I've been researching for the perfect stove for the galley, came across an all stainless steel twin burner by Century, wrote down the dimensions, and started to think on a place for it.
I spent about a half hour looking at about 200 pics in the "Galley Gallery"- some really great work in there , for some ideas. I really like the stove to be away from the trailer on a pull out shelf ,especially when the entire interior of my trailer is wood and other combustible materials also , a pull out shelf allows more counter, prep space, I love to cook .

So here's what I came up with.

I had one nice piece of walnut left over, thanks to Frank. Here's the rough in cut to size.

I'm fortunate to have access to a pile of stainless steel. Alot of boat owners around here including my father.
Spent a few hours cutting and polishing the metal.
Here is the end of the Stove Shelf. It pivots on a stainless steel bolt thru a block under the lower galley counter, I used a piece of flat stainless as a washer, and for a little style .

I used stainless ribs to act as slides for the stove counter as well as trim for the edge.

A great place for my old cast iron pan.

Everyone here walks around equipped with a coozie, or cozy or Koozie, Im not sure exactly what they are called, everyone calls them something different. I mean this is as common and normal as having ones keys or their wallet in there pocket. So the other day while working on the Tear I was given my first , I'm calling it coozie!

It's been way too long since the last update on this! What happened?

I agree , way too long , the only excuse that I have is , well I bought a "Black Pearl" (meaning it needs alot of work , but what boat doesn't)
A '78 Hunter 30' - needed a place to live , so why not live on the water.

The "White Pearl" is temperately under a tarp , need to order a bit more epoxy for final coats on the door and galley hatch - and then it's ready for paint.
But will defiantly keep you all posted.

I actually towed it for the first time over to the marina, I had a really hard time not just driving out on a road/camping trip - it pulled so smoothly with the volvo.
