Sorry 'bout the withdrawls, Cliff. :R

As a matter of fact, I did work a bit on it today. The weather was Spring-Like , so I pulled the TD out of the shop into the warm sun light. It did make it to 65°.
I cut the streetside door opening.

Then I commenced to cutting the window opening in the doors. Made a slight boo-boo, but it won't show with the window in place.

This is the window I'm installing in the doors.

Here's a window installed in one of the doors.

Gonna pick up a couple of 4X10 Aluminum panels for the skin this week.

I temporarily installed the doors for a test fit. If you'll notice, these doors are fitted with Hurricane Hinges

First chance I get, I'll cut out the profile in the aluminum skin and lay it in place. For now, my plan is to let the skin float on the plywood sides, being retained only by the edge molding and doors.
Of course, I'll apply the epoxy seal to the plywood sides, then after it dries, attach the skin.

Hey Mike,
Seeing the sun in your pics reminds me that spring will be here soon, I'm wishing this 18in. of snow that we have up here would melt. Back to your build, its looking great! I wonder...do those windows open any? I do like the look and the doors too, wish I had the money for those that you had up for sale....Kool! Your coming along and doing well. Take care--

John,
The windows do open. Actually, they slide up to open and have three opening hights. They're travel trailer windows I bought used on Ebay.

BTW, I still have a couple sets of these door in the For Sale section.

I was wondering how the windows mounted up. Caseydog showed me how his were done and I wanted to see if your's were the same way. Basically, you slip on the trim ring and then use a self tapping sheet metal screw to make it's own hole in the window to screw in to. Does that sound about right? Thanks, I am thinking I might be able to yank out my moon roof and reinstall it with no sealant showing if this is true...

Just curious, what keeps the door from sliding off when fully open? My hurricane hinge doesn't have any stop for sliding the hinge apart.

There is a stop, top & bottom.

The doors I'm using on my build are to only pair with Hurricane Hinges. All of the others I'm selling have Piano Hinges.

Thanks, Tom.

I cut out and did a test fit on one of side panels today(thanks to everyone who replied to my question about how to cut the aluminum profile).

For the newbies, the sides are White. The protective plastic film is Blue. I'll remove the Blue film after the TD build is a little more advanced.

BTW, Your build is coming along nicely also. At least you're working on the galley hatch. I'm dreading that part.

I'm trying to get as much done as possible for the Cabela's Event(two weeks away). I'll place a sign on it, "Under Construction".
