Yep the box is part of the front of the trailer so there will be another hinge there but I have an idea on how to keep the water out. If it works out I'll have a gutter like what is on the trunk of a car under the roof door so any water that gets in will run back out. But I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to do it yet.

Sorta What I'm sorta seeing in my head has the hatch door going down over the front edge of the box with a gutter like that all the way around the way that car trunk lid do. I'm just not sure if I'm going to use aluminum channel like what your showing or do it with fiberglass,
