Finally - We've got our own TD!

Noobie(s) here!

We saw a little curiosity known as a Little Guy 5 Wide last summer in Burnet, Tx. I fell in love with it a first sight - Britney thought it was kinda cool. It turned out to be a rental. We took it out and had so much fun - and it pulled great behind my GTO! We planned a bunch of camping trips this summer and figured with what we were going to spend renting, we should just buy. Well... we did! I was fortunate enough to snag up forum member jtblack's 2008 Silver Shadow 5x8 (as seen here: http://tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?t=35537 ). It was an INCREDIBLE buy on a GREAT little TD from a GREAT guy!

We are so excited about going on our first trip soon. Jtblack bought the Cargo version and built his own galley (very well built). I'm doing some minor changes to the galley to make it our own (and add a bit more leg-room - I'm 6'2"!).

A few short, local trips this spring/early-summer, then our big trip this summer will be to Southern Colorado (Durango area) for about a week.

I'm doing a little work to the GTO as well: auxiliary trans cooler, higher rate rear springs, and minor wiring. The car handles it just fine now, but these changes will make it an easy tow - I'll probably have to remind myself the TD is out back!

This forum has been a great source of info for the past 6 months, a great source for buying our TD, and I hope a great source in the future!

Welcome and congratulations on your new TD.

Renting a TD is a great idea and, had I known I could do that, it might have changed my mind some. Smart choice! We all look forward to seeing more pictures from you. :applause:
