My weekend aquisitions!

Ok.. the cooler probably isn't considered vintage.. but it excited me anyway.

Got the cooler for 30 dollars off craigslist. I like it because it reminds me of the cooler my family used when I was a little kid.

My father dug this stove out of his garage. He can't even remember where he got it. It had a price tag of 10 dollars on it from when he tried to sell it at a garage sale years ago. The tank had fuel in it, so I pumped it up, and wouldn't you know it.. it fired right up!

Except for the red legs, it is very similar to the one my family used when I was a kid. The lid is a little different.

Sorry I'm not an afficianado (sp) of this stuff.

So now I have three coleman stoves, but the other two are more modern and run off propane. One of them is pretty cool as it has a single burner, and the other side is a grill.. might come in handy if I ever get the ambition to clean it up. Whoever had it, apparently didn't like cleaning even more than me!

|Cool cooler!

I had a cooler that looked just like yours (64 quart I think) back in 73 when I lived in my van for the summer.

Saw a lantern at a garage sale yesterday but the fellow was overpriced on his other stuff and it was a new one with the plastic bushing for the pump shaft (no "class") so I didn't bother even asking.

Still have a "collection" of lanterns I found advertised in my "sights" but the owner hasn't been able to find em in his garage yet. Stay tuned.

Cheers,

Gus
