Look ma NO brakes.
Yup, yer right, pregnant roller skate, short wheelbase (78 inches), heavy as heck lexan roof (if I remember right), trailer probably over 50 percent of tow vehicle, yer pushin the "envelope".
Murphy was an optomist.
I nearly ate it while towing my utility trailer the other night. Brakes weren't a factor. Cal Trans signs said they were closing down two lanes but were really closing down three. I got over an extra lane and slowed down just to be safe. My view of the lane to my right being closed down was blocked by a boxy truck. The car in front of the truck got confused, stopped and the truck pulled in front of me, cutting me off. I jerked the wheel sharply to the left and got into the empty carpool lane. Couldn't believe I missed the truck, that the trailer didn't fishtail, and the van didn't flip! I was pissed! Called CHP 911 about the FUBAR lane shut down. They had a "cast of thousands" out there the next night to make sure they did a better job.
Anyway I doubt a "pregnant roller skate" with a heavy (realitive to the tow vehicle) trailer and a 78" wheelbase would have been so lucky!
Again, Murphy was an optomist. Although I was seriously considering suicide a few years back and ended up in the insane asylum (twice with 17 ECTs), I've gotton over my thoughts of suicide. Me, I want every reasonable advantage I can get.
Just in case yer wondering the above statement is TRUE. I experienced severe side effects to meds that were prescribed to treat pain. Later doctors that reviewed my medical history described the treatment I recieved as "argueably malpractice". I've learned to live with pain and without meds. However, I did resort to 1 vicodin and 1 valium on a recent transcontinental flight (no escaping the noise and vibration as as a result of DB Cooper, there is now no way to get off an airliner in flight!). The aircraft flew at 35K feet. I "flew" at 45K feet!
Good luck.
Cheers,
Gus
