Exercise Anyone?????????????

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Today I swam 500 miles, against the current, with sharks surrounding me.

I then jumped out of the ocean and ran 150 miles, all up hill.

Once at the top, I jumped on my mountain bike and rode another 300 miles through the mountains.

Once home, I was feeling a little jumpy so I put on my rollerblades and skated about 50 miles through town. I spotted a ramp near a parking lot so I sped up and went airborne over about 20 parked cars and a teardrop.

I still couldn't lose that little burst of energy I was feeling so I went ahead and threw up a couple of rental houses out back.

Now it's almost lunch time so the new sod will have to wait til this afternoon.

Did 44km last night and got my butt kicked, except on the hill climb.
They are reducung one of the meds they have me on for my stroke and I seem to be a little unbalanced on the bike right now. Felt like I was riding on a rear flat tire but everything checked out o.k. so I figure the reduction in meds has screwed up my balance.
Supposed to do another ride tonight but will take it easy till I can see what the problem is. See the doctor again tomorrow

Sorry, I seem to be missing the joke here. If making a joke about people who are trying to get past a serious health issue and stay in shape is somehow funny, then I just don't get it.

I wasn't making a joke about YOU or anybody else. I was actually making fun of MYSELF. In fact, I don't even know who you are nor I have I read ANY of your posts. Sorry, I wasn't aware this thread was only about you.

I used to post to this thread but have not been able to excercise in awhile due to serious health problems myself. I was goofing off by obviously over exaggerating what I have done exercise wise. I won't post again. I don't like to talk to people who have no sense of humor anyway..

Last nights road ride was a good crank. 30 miles [It's hard loosing daylight] We held back at the parking lot waiting for someone with a tire problem... so by the time we got going we had rabbits... :D

I normally like a relatively gentle start.. I warm up slowly... our start for this ride was not very hilly.. and I had reason to crank.. so we did right from the start. Once we got the front group.. we got used a bit. We pulled 95% of the time.. then 5 miles from the end.. a friend and another guy.. attacked hard half we up a big hill.. they got away... The two of them are fairly strong.. and were switching off.. and of course they were fresh from sitting in. I was able to real them in.. I then went back to the front [yeah I know...] :?

I got a quick hard calf cramp.. .. and they got away again.. I stretched on the bike.. chased them down again.. only to cramp again..

once I got the first cramp.. I should have backed off.. shruggy..

We ended up with a 22.7 ave. That last 11 miles I did much faster a couple of weeks ago. I have not done as much for good road cranks in the last 2 weeks... plus that week I took it easy at the start..

Then tonight we had an awesome mountain bike ride... :D It was an absolute blast.. we had 23 people.. and we had a few people to challenge me. The trails were more open.. so you could put it in the big ring and hammer. My 29er really shined tonight..

I would really like to apologize for my reaction to your previous post. I obviously took it wrong. As Glenn and I had been the only ones posting on here for the last month or so, I thought you were taking a jab at us.
I wish more people would post on here about their exercising

I'm really sorry, too! I also over reacted when I saw your post. I honestly didn't realize this thread was just down to the two of you. And if you guys are doing stuff like I claimed I did I am way out of my league here now

I have been off the forum for about a year and I should have read before I posted...my mistake! There used to be quite a few people who posted here regularly.

And as far as someone trying to overcome serious health issues, I would never, ever....not in a million years make fun of that. I have a son who is a paraplegic from a motorcycle accident three years ago and I am very sensitive to that kind of thing. Like I mentioned in my angry post, I have never read any of your posts so I had no idea.

I am trying to get back into exercise myself and was reconnecting to a sort of support group. I guess I kind of blew that.

Anyway, I am very sorry you took my post the way you did and I can see how you would knowing what I know now.
