Thank you!

It (the weather) was insane. The storm sewers couldn't handle the influx of water. There were manhole covers popping off downtown releasing small geysers. Maybe you saw this but you have to check out this video (starting at the 30 second spot). It's just unbelievable of this semi going down the highway. Take a look at the cars it passes.

And of course there were the actions (and knuckleheads who went walking through it) in Shorewood. Crazy.

(You certainly need not watch it, or all of it, but it's a two part series.)

We take you back to your regularly scheduled programming...say, aren't you across the pond? How do you know so much (specifically) about our weather woes? And please don't tell me it was the Internet. :)

All the best!

I'm married to a Milwaukee girl and we have family in Glendale. We were last over there a week before the flooding. I regard Milwaukee and WI as my second home.

I had seen the Shorewood 'surfers' video but not the FeDEx one. Thanks for the links. I wonder if the 'surfers' are aware they are up to their armpits in s**t?
Kind Regards, BigAl.

I know it's been a while since you removed them, but just in case the motorcycle chocks are still clogging up the garage...I may be able to help clear out some of your clutter... perhaps help finance your project, or barter some services? (See my own newbie introduction).

If you still have them, I'd be interested in taking them off your hands.

BTW, I was at Road America last year with a friend, for motorcycle races... WI is a very nice place, especially Milwaukee. Loved driving thru all the farmland Between there & Elkhart lake - awesome barns. Anyone interested in the best selection of top shelf restaurants, in the middle of nowhere, who doesn't visit that particular town, has nobody to blame but themselves. My friend & I ate like kings.

Ah, man! (I knew somebody was going to ask.) I wish I could help you but I got rid of them about a month ago. We had a terrible rain (8 inches in 2 hours) and I had to do some serious cleaning in the garage.

Yeah, WI ain't too bad, glad you enjoyed your trip.

All the best, and welcome!!!
