Mega-Mini problems.:x
I've reached the end of my rope. The trailer is now 10+ months overdue and I have e-mailed Eric and told him that I want it this week whether it is finished or not. There have been a succession of promises not kept and many excuses many of which are I'm sure legitimate. The kicker was that this morning I got a PM from the couple that is supposed to be getting MM number eight. Eric and told them that they could pick it up the middle of this month, and ours is not complete yet and he is not communicating.
We are looking forward to having the trailer, and to actually be able to camp in it.

Shadow Catcher, maybe the other couple's trailer is not as well-done as yours and maybe theirs doesn't have as many bells and whistles on it.

Looking at the pictures, it doesn't look like the builder has even got the hatch on yours yet. Winter is coming in Ohio and you could have snow by the end of the month. It might be wise to at least let the guy finish the enclosure and make it water-tight. Making the guy as angry as you are could cause him to 'undo' some of the beautiful work he's already done that you don't have pictures of. You wouldn't want that. Is there some sort of incentive you could dangle?

Sharon, the pictures are ones I took 3/24/10 and what little information I have indicates that what remains to be done are, cabinet doors needed to be hung and tongue box, TV antenna added and a few other small items taken care of. The hatch was there ready to be attached in March, plumbing complete and tested lights in and just not connected to the power center. Any other tasks I have no idea due to lack of communications.

Oh. Didn't notice the date. Over six months with almost no updates is pretty darn bad. He could at least send you pics or something....Poor customer relations for certain. Still, his work looks beautiful in the pics and you're going to have a beautiful trailer.

Shadow Catcher after reading what the "other" person went through and not receiving their camper - It might be well to save the pictures that you have received and get some legal recourse. if this person files for bankruptcy protection - YOU are screwed. After 10 months and no communication as well as bad dealing with other customers, this may be the course that eye 4 design is taking - and they are in possession of your money and partially finished camper. You need to go and pick it up finished or not and sue for the balance. Make sure you go with the local law enforcement ( of the town the company is located in) and they should send out a deputy with you to claim what is yours

Apologies to all the other teardroppers and TTTers. Yours looks like it'll beat all of 'em for beauty and quality, hands down.

PS. My mom was a 4'11" tall red head and she could put the fear of God into ANYONE! And the "look"? We won't even go there.

In the past I have helped restore airplanes I found like many I'm sure, the one who shows up the most gets their plane (trailer) done the fastest.

but 10 months on a trailer build when that is your business, you have waited long enought.

it is one good looking trailer.

Sharon
It is not often you get a do over at this level. I learned a LOT from you all and I am a firm believer that plagiarism is the sincerest form of flattery. We also learned a great deal from MM #1 i.e. you really do want two doors in the middle of the night and a single galley hatch works better.
There are a number of tasks I will have to do when we get the unit including the Bulfinch shower (single hose mixer valve), solar panel mounts, addition of the compressor and air handling system in the tongue box for the air shocks, to adjust for additional ground clearance and better off/poor road handling. The Sirius antenna (marine, made to be used on fiberglass) and through wall connector for the dish network satellite dish.
Still to be worked on will be the two awnings which will attach to Keder/awning rails. I do however have a seamstress lined up to do a Sunbrella cover for the trailer and to add mosquito netting to the awnings.

I hope you get your Mega Mini soon. I really like the look and will "borrow" from it extensively. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. It should be very awesome. I hope that you get many years of joy out of it for all the time you've spent waiting for it.

The trailer is now headed into 15 months since the due date which was October 2009. I have repeatedly offered to help finish it and more recently to take it as is and have some one else finish what I can not.
Today I sent an e-mail saying that if we did not have it by the end of the month that I would be talking with a lawyer about pursuing legal action. I would greatly prefer that this were not necessary but this does not seem to have been a great priority. We want the trailer and it will be great but...
