Here is my corn dog batter recipe..
1 cup flour
1 cup cornmeal
1/4 cup sugar
4 tsp baking powder
salt & pepper to taste (about 1/4 tsp of each?)
1 egg
1 1/4 cups milk
After all isn't this what we are talking about.
We have had deep fry nights on several outings.
What about mini corn dogs Just cut the full dog in 4ths. Dip and Deep fry then serve on a large tooth pic.
One deep dark secret I have learned is to dust the damp dogs first with corn starch to help the batter adhere. Works like primer before paint.
Great with cocktail sausages also.
What if you were to try a pie iron and a portion of the dog split and layed flat in the batter.
Just think out side the bun
